About Cisapid 1mg Suspension

Cisapride increases the rate at which your esophagus, stomach, and intestines move during digestion. It also increases the rate at which your stomach empties into your intestines and increases the strength of your lower esophageal sphincter (the muscle between your stomach and your esophagus). Cisapride is used to treat gastric reflux (the regurgitation of stomach acid into the esophagus), which is usually experienced as heartburn. Cisapride may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses of Cisapid 1mg Suspension

Cisapride is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) and constipation.

Medicinal Benefits of Cisapid 1mg Suspension

Cisapride indirectly stimulates the release of acetylcholine, a chemical messenger that can increase the motility of the intestine.

Directions for Use

• It is usually taken around 15 minutes before food or bedtime.
• Do not skip any dose and finish the complete course even if you feel better.
• Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Cisapride can cause dizziness and sleepiness.
• It may cause diarrhea. Drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration while taking this medicine.

• Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine because it can make drowsiness worse.
